Timing in life is everything.

So it’s the early days of 2022 and I’m not posting on social media for the first 30 days; I call it “going dark”. To that end, I’ll be utilizing this means of written/visual expression to keep everyone up to date.

Today was an awesome day: Started out working 4am-9am, then headed home for some breakfast, and then back on the road again to pick up my working uniforms for DMFD (Des Moines Fire Department). I had spent the past five years applying and trying to get hired and now here we are — where the rubber meets the road and the real work begins. Couldn’t be more proud of myself or eager to get started on January 10th, 2022.

After that I came home and started a new training program that is taking place over the next 12 weeks that will lead me into two of my Q1 Uncommon challenges.

  1. 12 weeks to get my body composition to my goals for a photoshoot highlighting all the ink/artwork on my body. This will hopefully be in conjunction with something else that I’ve been wanting to do for some time now, but waiting to hear back on that.
  2. Ultra marathon in Zion National Park, Utah in April.

With all this awesomeness comes the opposite end of the spectrum, today is Guzzo’s birthday. He was an amazing human being and is still terribly missed. You’re still in our hearts brother.

And to wrap up the day, I had a phone call with someone I’m very close with him and his family. The subject of this conversation will be revealed over time, but not here — it’s not time yet. However, I can tell you that the lightheartedness of our conversation lead to both of us agreeing that it needed to be done and that the Universe had brought us together today at that very moment in time we were speaking to one another for more reasons than we could understand in the moment.

With all that being said, back to the main point here: Trust the timing of your life. Whether you believe it’s your God or the Universe or just divine timing and the way things work, trust the timing of your life.

If my life is any type of example for this, today was a day to speak it in volumes.

Whatever “IT" is in your life, it will be given or delivered to you when it’s time, not when you want it to be.

Remember this.

I truly hope your life is headed in the right direction and that you’re taking MASSIVE ACTION to course correct and enforce new habits in your life if not.

Trust the timing of your life.
